Corey Cox Announces Major Concert Tour For 2011
April 6, 2011
INDIANAPOLIS -- Nashville's Better Angels recording artist and East Central Indiana native Corey Cox has announced the first major tour of his young career in 2011.
Cox will join other national touring artists -- including Rachel Timberlake -- as part of the 2011 Extreme Country Stampede Tour. The tour will include up to 20 dates throughout the United States.
"We are extremely excited to announce our dates with the Extreme Country Stampede Tour," Cox says. "This is a significant step in our musical journey to have a tour such as this which will allow us to travel across half of the country. To be one of the national acts for this rodeo and festival allows us to play in front of thousands of fans each night."
Cox will open the tour May 13-14 in Shreveport, Louisiana before traveling to states including Massachusetts, Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Missouri and Wyoming.
The Extreme Country Stampede Tour offers five exciting family events all at one location -- bull riding, freestyle motocross, monster trucks, country music featuring local and national musicians and barbeque. The tour can be found online at http://www.extremecountrytour.com.
The ECST objective is to provide fans with several extreme sports events which are typically never performed together in one location in a festival atmosphere. In previous years, ECST events have attracted nearly 20,000 fans in one weekend.
"This is a great chance to take our music to many parts of the country, to become even better with our live shows and to still focus on our goals in Nashville," Cox adds. "To have this many dates already lined up for 2011 is awesome and we have many more shows planned."
Cox, the 22-year old singer songwriter from Pendleton, Indiana, joined the staff of Better Angels Music in Nashville in 2010, with such names as Columbia Nashville recording artist Josh Thompson and Better Angels singer/songwriters David Adam Byrnes, Jason White and Jay Brunswick.
