Corey Cox Joins Better Angels Music

corey1NASHVILLE -- Nashville recording artist and East Central Indiana native Corey Cox has been signed to a major publishing contract with Better Angels Music in Nashville.

Cox, the 21-year old singer songwriter from Pendleton, Indiana, joins the staff of the new publishing and record label on the Nashville scene, joining such names as Columbia Nashville recording artist Josh Thompson and Better Angels singer/songwriters David Adam Byrnes, Jason White and Jay Brunswick.

Better Angels
was founded in 2007 to bring music and entertainment back to the people - to fans and enthusiasts in search of high quality music, inspired more by the message than the money, and in as short a timeline as possible.

“Better Angels Music is proud to welcome one of the best young artists in country music to our publishing roster in Corey Cox,” CEO Rob Rappaport said. “In the short time he’s been with us, Corey has grown tremendously by writing and performing with our talented staff. He has a gift both with words and with his voice. Corey is just the type of songwriter/artist we’re looking for as Better Angels continues to become a viable force in Nashville.”

INDIANAPOLIS -- Corey Cox has his cowboy boots on, ready to give an interview for IndyConcerts. His smile is genuine, his heart is proud, and his words are subtle yet certain. Shortly after beginning his run as a country music artist, his career is about to take off.

But the small-town Hoosier from Pendleton is not overly confident just yet, believing his patience to have taken him far already and hoping to continue on this path so long as his passion for it prevails.

In the midst of his summer tour, Cox sat down with us to discuss the Indy music scene, Nashville dreams, and among other things– the life of a country artist.
